Not to say there won’t necessarily be more high moments. The way the Colts have fought, clawed and scratched all season – and considering the depth and lack of a true dominant team in the AFC outside perhaps New England – maybe the Colts get in the playoffs and make a post-season run.
Much odder things have happened.
But if that doesn’t happen – if the Colts lose one of their next two games at Oakland or home against Tennessee and the Jaguars squeeze out the division – while that would be disappointing for the Colts, the followers of this season and the Colts themselves always will have Sunday’s game against Jacksonville.
