Johnny O fills us in

Rhodes deserves his spot as one of the Colts’ most beloved players – not only among fans, but among teammates. Rhodes is in his third stint with the Colts, and while he never necessarily has been the most talented running back on the roster, he finds a way to produce – and to have fun while doing it. When the Colts re-signed Rhodes early this month, teammates talked of the joy they felt seeing Rhodes, who first joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2001. It was hard at the time to imagine Rhodes making a major impact on the field. He was, after all, a guy who wasn’t in the NFL and who had played in the UFL last season. But on Sunday, there he was again – making plays and playing with the enthusiasm and energy he had a decade ago. A remarkable performance by a guy it’s awfully hard not to root for.
