ESPN.com moves the Rangers up three spots to #2 in their most recent power rankings…
2. Rangers – The Rangers have the highest points percentage in the NHL (.717, 33 in 23 games). I had them playoff-bound before the season. But challenging for the Presidents’ Trophy? Wow.
CBS Sports (3), The Hockey News (6) and TSN (3) also released their rankings.
These rankings were released before last night’s loss to the Maple Leafs.
…i’ve been saying that the Rangers haven’t deserved the high rankings they’ve been receiving this year, but they certainly belong among the elite right now.
