Practice Notes: Cally, Del Zotto Participate; Anisimov, Eminger Hurt (Updated)

Update, 1:58 p.m.:
Gross adds that an optimistic Callahan, who said he re-aggrevated the foot injury in Chicago last week, will decide tomorrow morning if he can play against the Avalanche.

Gross says Del Zotto had not been skating until this morning and that Fedotenko missed today’s practice with the flu.

…can someone keep Fedotenko away from the Run BMC Line.

Original Post:
The Rangers report that Ryan Callahan and Michael Del Zotto returned to practice this morning, however, Artem Anisimov, Steve Eminger and Ruslan Fedotenko all sat out.

John Tortorella said this about Callahan and Del Zotto…

“They made it through today, that’s a good thing…don’t know about tomorrow.”

…thanks for the insight Torts.

…actually nice to get some positive news after last night. Hope they don’t force either one of them back in as I feel the Rangers are capable of beating the Avalanche without them. No reason to chance a setback if they’re not at 100%.

Torts adds that Anisimov and Eminger are out today because they are hurt, but gives no status for tomorrow night’s game.

…are they injured or are they hurt? If they’re hurt, they can still play. If they’re injured they can’t. What movie?

Henrik Lundqvist also practiced.

Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record gives these lines from practice…
