Practice Notes: Dubinsky Sinus Issue; Cally Leaves Practice Early; Stralman Back with Del Zotto

The Rangers report that Brandon Dubinsky did not participate in today’s practice due to a sinus issue caused by one of the many punches to the face he received from Ryan Carter last night.

Dubinsky is officially listed as day to day and will make the trip to Ottawa.

…oooooh, it was a sinus issue that kept him from returning to the game last night. And here I was thinking it was a bruised ego.

Meanwhile, Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that Ryan Callahan left practice early, while Anton Stralman was back alongside Michael Del Zotto a day after being a healthy scratch against the Devils.

Leonard adds that John Tortorella says the reason he sat John Mitchell last night was that he’s been fighting his game recently.

…huh? Didn’t Torts just praise Mitchell the other day? Swallow you pride Torts and just admit your line-up changes didn’t work last night.
