Practice Notes: No Feds; Wolski on 4th Line; Dubi on Trade Talk (Updated)

Update, 6:05 p.m.:
Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Tortorella says the Rangers will go with the same line-up against Columbus tomorrow, meaning Bickel will be back at right wing and Wolski will be in the press box.

Assuming Henrik Lundqvist gets the start.

…i’m fine with this. As I said below, Bickel makes more sense on the fourth line than Wolski.

Original Post:
Katie Strang at ESPN NY reports that Ruslan Fedotenko was not on the ice for this morning’s practice.

John Tortorella says there is no update on Fedotenko or Michael Sauer.

…got to be worried about both of them at this point if they’re not even practicing. Might not see them till the end of March at this point.

According to the Rangers, Wojtek Wolski was practicing on the fourth line with Mike Rupp and John Mitchel, while Stu Bickel was back on defense.

…if Torts is going to re-insert Wolski into the line-up, he can’t be on the fourth line. Absolute waste. Would rather the hard nosed Bickel stay there than Wolski who’s not a grinding player. Maybe Wolski with Dubinsky and Mitchel?

Finally, in response to his name being mentioned in the Rich Nash trade talks, Brandon Dubinsky says

“It’s part of the game. It’s not like I feel unwanted here. I just need to get my game in order.”
