The Panthers continue to climb the standings. Can they do it again tonight while facing a division foe?

The Panthers made some moves yesterday, which will impact the lineup for tonight. You can read all about it here.
Aside from that, the Panthers are looking good. They have won four games in a row, their second such streak of the season. This has only happened three times in Panthers history: in 1996-97, 1999-00, and 2007-08. Tonight, the Panthers are looking to make it five in a row for the second time this season.
Fun fact: the Panthers have never had two streaks of five or more wins in a row in a season.
Go get some more history tonight boys!
Meanwhile, the Senators have been slowly sliding down the standings since a strong start to the season. Once the 2nd place team in the Atlantic Division, the Senators are now one point behind the Panthers, in the second wild card spot. Their PDO peaked early in the year, and it’s been a slow regression since. So far, there has not been the same Hamburgler Magic they go at the end of last season.
Players to Watch:
Aleksander Barkov – Really, you should watch Barkov every game. I just wanted to use this as an excuse to post that ridiculous shootout goal again:

Erik Karlsson (OTT) – The Senators captain leads the team in scoring as a defenseman with 37 points. It takes a special player to do that. He can be an entertaining player to watch, so definitely keep eyes out for #65 on Ottawa for a good time (as long as he doesn’t score on the Panthers).
