I’ll take this whole, “What do I talk about?” problem if it means the Panthers keep on winning.
Its was more of what we have gotten used to in the win streak on Tuesday night. Barkov doing Barkov things. Huberdeau doing Huberdeau things. Jagr doing Legend things. Panthers handedly beating an inferior opponent in the Sabres. It was fun to watch, much like the other wins. We can only hope to see more of the same tonight, and a win would be much needed in this game.
The Panthers will face division foe Ottawa tonight. Though the Panthers currently sit in first place, it would be unwise to assume they will stay in first place. Should they fall out later in the season, they could be competing directly with Ottawa for a playoff spot. Therefore, it is important to collect this win for potential tiebreaking purposes.
Of course, if the Panthers keep winning, then they might not have to worry about the tiebreaker anyway. Collecting those wins works positively to both ends.
Ottawa has been skipping along of late. They have won consecutive games just once since a four game win streak halted at the end of November. They have had four multi-game losing streaks too. Thier most recent skid was three games long, ending with their win Monday night in St. Louis.
This is Game 41 for the Panthers. We will have much more tomorrow on the Panthers at the mid-way point of the season!
