The Hat Trick

Not Good Enough, But It Will Be Fine: Monday’s game, as a whole, was not good enough. The Panthers came in to the game looking to defend 2nd place, and failed. The way the Cats fell behind in the first period was ugly, and disheartening for many. Simply put, they cannot let that happen in a playoff game. However, the way they battled back and took control of the game, eventually tyingnit, was somewhat encouraging. It showed the team still had a pulse and would not be defeated by one bad period of play. Avoid these problems, keep the mindset of the last 40, and this team will do great things.

History, History, and More History: I passed on doing a Cat Tracks for the last game, so I’d like to take this opportunity to once again congratulate Jaromir Jagr, this time on passing Gordie Howe for 3rd all-time in points. Its been a great year watching Jagr pass all these marks, I look forward to hopefully more history with The Legend.

Anderson Back: The Panthers will once again face former netminder Craig Anderson tonight. He lost just 2 of his first 10 games against the Panthers following his departure from the team. However, he has gone 3-5-1 in his nine against the Panthers. Any reputation he earned as a Panther killer has slowly evaporated given recent performance. Instead, fear Erik Karlsson. The Swedish defenseman may play a high risk game, but there’s a reason he has 68 points on the season: his game is also very effective.

Closing Thoughts

Don’t forget to donate to #CatsForACause! We just hit the $1,700 mark, and we want to take this further!

I would like to casually mention that I have a surprise in store for tonight’s game. Stay tuned to find out what the big surprise is!
