Prediction Armageddon – Another Look Into Longball’s (Cracked) Crystal Ball

I am sensing… someone… who is in desperate need of a do-over.

This week, the excitement continues with an in depth look at some of my bold upset predictions for 2012. Will I find redemption for my dismal performance with the Gameday picks? Last week we had a little fun reviewing my pre-season predictions for the College Gameday Locations. This week, the fun continues with an in depth look at some of my bold upset predictions for 2012. Will I find redemption for my dismal performance with the Gameday picks? Will I finally be able to show my face in public again? So here were my upset picks ranked in order of… I dunno, insanity? The idea, of course, was that if I pick a BUNCH of crazy upsets the law of averages will assure that I get at least a couple right. As you can see, I had that law squarely on my side…

#10 – UW @ LSU, September 8 – Nope. This one was DOA.

#9 – Wisconsin @ OSU, September 8 – Woot! Amazing, since this game, these teams have swapped rankings.

#8 – USC @ UW, October 13 – Nope. Even with the loss, Sark is still .500 against USC.

#7 – Colorado @ USC, October 20 – TBD. Hmmmm, methinks not likely.

#6 – Nebraska @ UCLA, September 8 – POW! Who saw it coming? Well lots of folks, but I DID TOO!

#5 – UW @ Oregon, October 6 – Nope. Look, I did not know that UWs offensive line was as bad as ours. Did you?

#4 – UW @ Colorado, November 17 – TBD. This could happen, pups.

#3 – USC @ Utah, October 6 – Derp. At one point it was 14-0 Utes and I was a GENIUS. Didn’t last.

#2 – Utah @ Utah State, September 8 – Holler! The echos of this glroiou victory shall ring out accross the Cache Valley forver more.

#1 – Oregon @ WSU (in Seattle), September 29 – Nopers. I love how this game bruned me on both my prediction lists.

So where do I stand? I have guessed 3 of these 10 upsets correctly with 2 still to be played which means I am still in the hunt to go .500 on these picks. HA! Of course in both those TBD games I am counting on Colorado to come through for me, so my hopes of batting .500 are significantly less than the Cougs bowl chances at this time. After what they did to us on Homecoming, I think its the least the Buffs could do to eek out a couple shockers against USC and UW. Go Buffs! (Sorry Lucas)
