A couple of preseason brackets have hit the internet over the last few days. That’s understandable since the season starts Friday. Just like everyone else, no two people are certain about the Bearcats.
Jerry Palm has the Bearcats as an 8 seed in his first projection. The Bearcats would be in Duke’s region. Palm also has Xavier playing Dayton, with the winner playing Kentucky. That would be fun. Cincinnati playing Duke would also be fun for the one day build of the Great Alaska Shootout highlights.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm_1vbpbUzQ]USA Today released their bracket as well. That is notable for it’s lack of Cincinnati. The Bearcats weren’t in their bracket. Only UConn, Memphis and SMU made the cut from the AAC. Palm had 4 AAC teams in his bracket.
These are brackets in November so they are worth a grain of salt. The point of this is to show how much uncertainty there is about the Cats. This team is thought of to be an 8 seed or in the NIT. The possibilities are anything. It’s been a few years since we’ve had a fluctuation like that.
