When: October 14, 2015; 7:30 PM EST
Where: Barclays Center; Brooklyn, NY
TV: YES Network
Radio: None
After three preseason games that were played either against international opponents, at a neutral site or on the road, the Nets finally play another NBA team at home as they welcome the Boston Celtics to the Barclays Center tonight. For the first time this preseason, the game will be on YES as Brooklyn attempts to even its exhibition record at 2-2.
Thomas Robinson, who has missed much of the preseason due to injury, will play tonight while the Celtics will be without Avery Bradley (rest), Terry Rozier (knee) and Marcus Smart (illness). Other than that, both teams will have the vast majority of their key players available to play. Of course, it’s still the middle of the preseason, so neither team will be taking this game especially seriously.
Probable lineups
BOS- Isaiah Thomas (PG), Evan Turner (SG), Jae Crowder (SF), Amir Johnson (PF), Tyler Zeller (C)
BKN- Shane Larkin (PG), Wayne Ellington (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Thaddeus Young (PF), Brook Lopez (C)
Final thoughts
This will be a nice intra-division matchup, even if the regular season intensity and implications won’t be involved. It’ll be interesting to see how Brook Lopez plays against Zeller and how the Nets defend Isaiah Thomas, who can put up points in a hurry. These teams will see each other a lot during the regular season, and could play big roles in whether the other makes the playoffs.
