President Obama is about to unveil his NCAA men’s and women’s Tournament brackets on ESPN.

President Obama’s Final Four Selections:

Men’s: Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky and Villanova

Women’s: Connecticut, Notre Dame, Stanford and Tennessee

In an ESPN exclusive, President Barack Obama filled out his bracket predictions for the 2010 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments with ESPN.com senior writer Andy Katz and ESPN basketball analyst Doris Burke for air on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Wednesday, March 17, at noon ET, and Friday, March 19, at 9 a.m., respectively. This is the second straight year in which President Obama has completed a men’s bracket exclusively with ESPN and the first time he has publicly provided his bracket for the women’s tournament. Both interviews will be available on ESPN.com and ESPN Mobile platforms.
 

President Obama’s brackets will be posted on ESPN.com Wednesday, March 17, (shortly after SportsCenter airs his interview with Katz) and will appear alongside those from the millions of fans expected to play in ESPN.com’s ESPN Men’s Tournament Challenge and ESPN Women’s Tournament Challenge.

In 2009, the Men’s Tournament Challenge game was the most popular bracket game in the nation, with a record 4.6 million brackets, a 43 percent increase over 2008. Last year, President Obama correctly picked North Carolina to win the Tournament. His bracket ranked 903,125 overall, just above the 80th percentile in the ESPN Tournament Challenge.

The President is predicting a Men’s Final Four of Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky and Villanova to meet April 3-5 in Indianapolis and a Women’s Final Four of Connecticut, Notre Dame, Stanford and Tennessee to meet April 4-6 in San Antonio. ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN360.com and ESPN FULL COURT will present all 63 games from the Women’s Tournament for the eighth consecutive year.

Said Katz, “After spending a few minutes with President Obama at the White House it was evident he has clearly paid attention to college basketball this season. While I know he didn’t have time to watch ESPNU when I talked to all 65 Tournament coaches Monday, he was aware of injuries, star players and key matchups in evaluating the top teams in the field.”

Burke added, “In just the short time I spent with President Obama, it was obvious how much of a basketball fan he is. While he has joined the rest of the nation in following the storyline of the Connecticut Huskies and their current historic win streak, I was impressed with his overall knowledge and passion for all of basketball. He is also intrigued with the potential matchup of the titans of women’s basketball in Tennessee and Connecticut.”
