Game Notes
- Durant started the road trip with a 5-of-17 night in Los Angeles. He leveled off a bit in Utah and Memphis, going a combined 14-of-28. But that 6-of-21 performance in Minneapolis lowered his shooting percentage to 53.6 percent. “It’s a part of the season, man,” Durant said. “I definitely didn’t want it to happen. Definitely would love to make more shots on this road trip. But it’s an up and down season. It’s about how you bounce back, how you fight through it all.” During the fourth quarter on Sunday night, thanks to a Curry motivational assist, Durant fought through a tough night to deliver in a key moment. — Anthony Slater, The Mercury News
- “We were definitely fighting, fighting an uphill battle,” Kevin Durant told reporters in Minneapolis. “Let’s not fool ourselves,” Draymond Green said. “We played a great 12 minutes, sparked by our second unit, which played nine of those 12 minutes. And that’s what gave us this win.” — Monte Poole, CSN Bay Area
