Last Time Out:

Golden State defeated Brooklyn 107-99

Charlotte beat Phoenix 103-95

Keys to victory:

Defensively: Control the elbows, that’s where Charlotte likes to attack from.

Hold Al Jefferson under 20 points. Easier said than done but staying down against Jefferson is important.

Deny ball and run Lance Stephenson off the right short porch three. Remember, outside of seven feet he is ineffective.

Offensively: Find a way to save Stephen Curry’s energy for the final six minutes of regulation.

Keep your turnovers down by setting great screens.

Charlotte doesn’t double team the post. Take advantage of any size strength match-ups you can get on the block.

What to watch for:

At yesterday’s practice Steve Kerr was questioned about his 72 win season. His said:  “Well, if we could get Michael Jordan to comeback. Scottie Pippen and Rodman. Nobody’s ever gonna do that again. Nobody’s ever going to win 72 again, I’m convinced of that. It’s like DiMaggio’s hit streak. It’s one of those records that’s unbreakable. There’s only one Michael Jordan… Michael being Michael that year just willed us to ten wins that we otherwise wouldn’t have had. Like I said, he doesn’t exist in any other form. So, there’s no sense in anybody talking about winning 72.”
