Tim Wakefield will take the hill tonight at Skydome/Rogers Centre or whatever you want to call it. Wake has a 6-4 career record at the Rogers Centre and a 15-10 record against Toronto. Last season he was 3-2 against the Jays with a 3.38 ERA. He usually pitches very well indoors and this spring he seemed to have no lingering shoulder issues. All signs point to another strong outing for a Sox starter. The Red Sox should be rested after a day off yesterday. (They couldn’t even practice due to an event at Skydome) Youk and Tek have been swinging a hot bat and Big Papi has ended his drought. Manny is due for a big game tonight, he has 27 career home runs in Toronto.
The Red Sox will be facing Shaun Marcum who has a 2-1 lifetime record against Boston with a 2.77 ERA. Manny has 6 at bats against Marcum with 2 homers and a .500 average. Mike Lowell has also hit Marcum well going 4-10 against him.
Game time 7:15 Eastern on NESN and WRKO.
