Game Preview via NBA.com:

After knocking off an unbeaten team, the Golden State Warriors have a chance for their best start since moving west.

They’ll also try to maintain the NBA’s only perfect record when they take on a Phoenix Suns team that’s struggled to slow down opponents so far this month Sunday night.

Stephen Curry had a season-high 34 points on 13-of-19 shooting, 10 rebounds and four steals Saturday as Golden State (5-0) won 98-87 over Houston, which was missing star center Dwight Howard and two other starters.

The Warriors overcame a season-high 26 turnovers and Klay Thompson’s season-worst 3-for-16 shooting performance by holding the Rockets to their fewest points in 2014-15 and 34.9 percent shooting.

“We’re not there yet. That’s the scary thing. We know we probably played a good game for maybe a half tonight and still pulled out a win,” said center Andrew Bogut, who had a season-high 18 rebounds and four blocks. “We’ve had some games where we haven’t played well but pulled out victories. It’s a great sign.

“We have a lot more work to do, and we think our ceiling is still not even close.”

Key Injuries: GSW: Klay Thompson (sprained right wrist), David Lee (re-aggravated hamstring, will be re-evaluated in two weeks); PHX: No notable injuries.
