The NFL is midway through its preseason and the start of the regular season is just more than two weeks away. In what seems to be a constant battle for playing time and a starting position, one former Florida State defensive back made the most of his opportunity this week.

Buffalo Bills’ cornerback Ronald Darby is the Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week for the week of August 17th through the 23rd for his performance in an 11-10 win over the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night.

In the victory, Darby recorded two tackles and came down with a pair of interceptions. He returned the two a combined 22 yards.

The two picks for Darby in the win equaled his career total at FSU and showed why the Bills selected him in the second round. Darby will look to continue his outstanding preseason as Buffalo hosts the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday.
