The San Antonio Spurs announced that they have signed Fabricio Oberto. Per club policy terms of the contract were not released.
Oberto – who is 6-10 and 245-pounds – has been a member of Argentina’s national team since 1995. During the 2004 Olympics, he averaged 8.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 22.7 minutes while shooting .604 (29-48) from the field. He will be the sixth member of Argentina’s 2004 Olympic Team to play in the NBA (joining Manu Ginobili, Andres Nocioni, Carlos Delfino, Ruben Wolkowisky and Pepe Sanchez).
The Spurs also announced that the team re-signed Robert Horry.
