Providence Pushes Boston Past Capitals

Super short recap today 'cause the game wasn't televised in Boston and the online feed we were using didn't start until the second period. From what we saw it was pretty much a snoozefest. But it was Providence Bruins members that pushed Boston to victory.

THE GOOD

Justin Florek scored Boston's first goal and then Chris Kelly scored so you know it was a meaningless preseason game. Then after what felt like 1000 round of shootout, Carter Campter roofed a shot into the net to end the game.

Svedberg looked great in net, stopping 12 of 13 shots. We're pretty sure Chad Johnson will be wearing a big P on his chest come October instead of a B.

Rask made 14 saves on 15 shots. The lone goal he let in was a beauty of a cross-ice pass.

THE BAD

The Baltimore Arena is a shit hole. The puckw as bouncing all over the place. People were wiping out randomly. Ovie and we forget who from Boston loved tap the glass and it fell out. It was awful.

"Yeah it was a tough night…pucks were bouncing everywhere, both teams didn’t seem to get any momentum going there," Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien said following the game. "So it wasn’t the prettiest, it wasn’t as entertaining as you would probably like it to be, but at the end of the night it went into overtime and turned into a shootout and we found a way to win."

"Baltimire Hockey Classic" our ass…

The arena is also crap for airing a game. The cameras were so damn high you couldn't tell who was who on the ice. But with so many new and young faces we probably wouldn't have known anyways.

TV crews still in preseason mode, too.
