PSU Basketball: Signing Day

Today, November 11th, is a day in which we salute our veterans, but it was also a day in which Pat Chambers got to bolster his team with four high profile recruits.

The Big 3

The Lions were able to get three big time targets from the same school in the city of Brotherly Love. Coach Chambers took after coach Franklin, as he dominated the state, reeling in the #1 recruit in Pa in 6’4 PG Tony Carr, and the #2 player, Carr’s teammate, SF Lamar Stevens (6’7 ,225). The third recruit making the trip from Roman Catholic to Happy Valley will be 3 star SF Nazeer Bostick.

These three standouts will be joined by 3 star power forward Joe Hampton from Virginia. He was committed to Penn State last year and then decommitted in March, but he committed back to the Lions in May. Hampton brings great size at 6’8 250.

This 2016 class ranked #13 in the country according to 247 and will join a good recruiting class in 2015. Penn State men’s basketball is quickly becoming a player in the B1G championship race.
