What everyone is talking about
The All Star game rosters have been set. Let’s argue about them! Yahoo, Sporting News
On ice last night, the Penguins nicked the Canadiens with an overtime winner from some guy named Sidney Crosby. ESPN, NHL.com
Scoreboard
Boston 3, Philadelphia 1 – The biggest surprise was that this game wasn’t the big Wednesday night rivalry game. Because rivals!
Nashville 3, Minnesota 1 – The Wild will never win another game, and are last place losers.
Colorado 4, Dallas 3 – For all the fun I’ve had at the Avs’ expense, they are no longer in last place.
Pittsburgh 2, Montreal 1 (OT) – This is far an away the most important hockey game that has ever been played.
Washington 3, Detroit 1 – The Caps continue to sneak up the standings. Scary (unless you face them in the playoffs)
Ottawa 5, Arizona 1 – We can see the Coyotes atrophying and dying right before our eyes.
New York Islanders 5, Columbus 2 – It’s so sad because the Blue JAckets are trying so hard.
St Louis 5, Carolina 4 (SO) – Somehow, the Blues won but are still losers. ASAS
Winnipeg 5, Los Angeles 4 (SO) – This is the renewed focus of a team who doesn’t want people to know they have been crying. It was tough seeing Teemu. ASAS
New York Rangers 3, San Jose 1 – It is sort of exciting to have the Rangers not be hapless buffoons. Anything to reminisce about a crying Mark Messier.
Calgary 1, Vancouver 0 – The Flames are currently 5th in the Pacific, but only 2 points out of 2nd. Seems like the division to watch.
Tweet of the Moment
Gionta: Feels good to be back out there with the guys, getting some timing back. Getting closer to return. #Sabres

Holy crap, I didn’t know Brian Gionta was still playing, let alone doing so for the Sabres. Looks like that youth movement is working out great so far.
