What everyone is talking about
Jean Beliveau’s memorial services are going on right now. Sporting News, SportsNet, CBC, TSN, NHL.com
Scoreboard
Chicago 3, New Jersey 2 (SO) – Scott Darling is pretty good when his team outshoots his opponents by 15. ASAS
Columbus 3, Philadelphia 2 (OT) – It’s pretty cool when NHL teams play their minor league affiliates.
Toronto 4, Calgary 1 – All jokes aside, Toronto is probably a playoff team, and ultimately, Calgary won’t be.
Buffalo 1, Los Angeles 0 – Of course.
Montreal 3, Vancouver 1 – Eastern Canada with a resurgence on a conjoined road trip to western Canada.
Washington 5, Tampa Bay 3 – Just like old times, with the Caps knocking off the Lightning. Of course, nowadays, this is an upset. Steven Stamkos scored his 250th career goal.
Minnesota 5, New York Islanders 4 – The Wild scored 4 in the 3rd period, after falling behind 4-1. The game tying and winning goals were scored by Thomas Vanek and Nino Neiderreither. Vanek got the assist on the winner. Someone check on Kevin Schultz.
Wonnipeg 5, Dallas 2 – Winnipeg is having a sneaky good season. Sneaky because they are damn boring.
Nashville 4, Colorado 0 – The Predators are still lurking, just winninggames. Pekka Rinne, man.
San Jose 5 Edmonton 2 – Sad to see the Oilers winning streak come to an end.

The Canadiens are having a a tough time emotionally lately, given the passing of Jean Beliveau. I’m not going to make a joke about someone dying and an organization coping with it, because I’m not a monster.
