What everyone is talking about
Our Christmas break is over and nobody has anything to talk about anything in particular. There were 13 games last night so let’s not labor over the fact that the North American media doesn’t want to steer us towards any particular talking points.
Scoreboard
Columbus 6, Boston 2 – Scott Hartnell scored twice He seems absolutely like the type of guy that will one day play in Boston.
Tampa Bay 2, Carolina 1 – It appears that the Hurricanes didn’t get “talent” for Christmas.
Detroit 3, Ottawa 2 (OT) – Gustav Nyquist is still skating circles around the Sens.
New York Rangers 3, New Jersey 1 – The Rangers don’t need anyone but Derek Stepan
Buffalo 4, New York Islanders 3 (SO) – Congratulations, Islanders, you are the worst team in New York. Even the Sabres won last night. ASAS
Winnipeg 4, Minnesota 3 (OT) – The Wild lost on what is certainly the most absurd goal possible.
Washington 3, Pittsburgh 0 – Eric Fehr is still a thing, guys.
Arizona 2, Anaheim 1 (SO) – The Coyotes are not good. When they beat the Ducks, though, I could crown them as kings. ASAS
Dallas 4, St. Louis 3 – St Louis heavily outshot the Stars, so this is a win for Kari Lehtonen.
Nashville 4, Philadelphia 1 – I’m not ready for a world where the Predators are this good.
Chicago 5, Colorado 2 – I was just watching the Bears game… Chicago is lucky they have the Blackhawks.
Calgary 4, Edmonton 1 – Calgary wins Alberta, and for my money, they can have it.
Los Angeles 3, San Jose 1 – San Jose is really good at losing to the Kings.
