Puck Dumps 12/30/14

What everyone is talking about
I was on my way home from the final Christmas celebration of the season and missed out on my dumping. Many apologies. If you were curious though, the tone of North American media is one of frenzy. They are playing hockey outside in a couple days for the first time ever! ESPN, Yahoo, TSN, NHL.com

Scoreboard
Boston 5, Detroit 2 – The Bruins peppered Jimmy Howard and got a much deserved win.

Montreal 3, Carolina 1 – Hey, the world works as we think it should.

New Jersey 3, Pittsburgh 1 – Everyone in Pittsburgh has the mumps, and they gave them to New Jersey

New York Islanders 4, Washington 3 (OT) – This would have been a pretty good game to play outside.

Ottawa 5, Buffalo 2 – I don’t understand. Zemgus Girgensons is an all star. What’s going wrong?

Tampa Bay 3, Toronto 2 – The intensity in this rivalry is almost too much. I can barely imagine a Leaf and Lightning fan stomaching the thought of even looking at one another.

St. Louis 3, Colorado 0 – No truth to the rumor that Marty Brodeur mooned Patrick Roy when the game was over.

Minnesota 3, Winnipeg 2 – This is Minnesota’s first win since the election.

Chicago 5, Nashville 4 (SO) – James Neal only plays for winners (and those that get kind of close to winning)

Dallas 3 New York Rangers 2 – But how can Henrik Ludqvist lose when he’s so handsome?!

Calgary 2, Los Angeles 1 – Little known fact: Spray tans can freeze in the cold climate of Calgary

Arizona 4, Philadelphia 2 – I’m sorry to anyone that decided if this was how to spend your evening last night.
