Pujols 400

You know what? I’m going to be pissed if Albert Pujols hits his 400th home run somewhere other than PNC Park. The dude friggin’ OWNS PNC to the tune of 24 homers and a .385/.464/.726 line in 75 games there. How many Pirates have hit 24 homers at PNC? (The answer is not all that many. I know Craig Wilson, Jason Bay, and Brian Giles have and Jack Wilson hit exactly 24, but other than that there can’t be many more.)

Anyways, that’s as compelling a storyline as any tonight because the Pirates’ lineup vs. Adam Wainwright is about as epic a mismatch as there is right now. Maybe that Zach Duke vs. Johan Santana matchup will kick in tonight, but I’m not counting on it. First pitch is 7:05. Clemente/Cangelosi is after the jump.

Not sure what this is? Check here and here. Short version: in the comments pick the Pirates you think will be most and least valuable in today’s game. If you haven’t jumped aboard yet, it’s been a lot of fun so far and now’s as good a time as any to join in.

No points yesterday, either! We’re in a Clemente/Cangelosi slump as the scoreboard hasn’t ticked since Saturday night. Last night’s Cangelosi was Sean Gallagher, who just edged out Ross Ohlendorf, believe it or not. Jose Tabata and Ryan Doumit were the Clementes. We had some Doumit Cangelosi action and some Ohlendorf Clemente action, but since both were runners up, no one loses points.
