Puppy Bowl Lineup Announced: There Will Be Penguin Cheerleaders, & A Keyboard Cat Appearance, Too

The Super Bowl may get all the national attention from media and fans, but we know it’s the Puppy Bowl that really matters.

And lucky for us, Puppy Bowl X is just around the corner.

For this particular milestone, Animal Planet announced some new additions to the annual event. Here’s a brief rundown of what you can expect during the big game:

• Penguin cheerleaders doing their thing on the sidelines! We’ve seen chicken and bunny cheerleaders in years past, but this year is the real deal.
• Keyboard Cat, the Youtube legend, will be performing Bruno Mars’ Locked Out of Heaven during halftime.
• Fantasy Puppy League: Animal Planet will be hosting a fantasy draft on its website later this month.  Prospective players can view profiles of 11 of 66 puppies here, and can also track  performances during the live event using a built-in stat tracker.
• Instagram photo sharing and MVP online voting. Viewers can submit photos of their Puppy Bowl parties. Animal Planet will feature the best pics of owners and pets during the game.

This is big news, you guys. And Keyboard Cat is certainly on board.
