Week 6 saw the games two elite QBs stay undefeated on the season, and a resurgence of two others. We’ve changed our normal “five things” to just plain old tidbits. Here’s what we saw for Week 6:
For the second week in a row, 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick looked good. After a brutal two game stretch that included zero touchdown passes and five interceptions, Kap has rebounded the last two weeks, firing four TD passes to zero picks.
Drew Brees and the Saints rebounded from a bad loss to Philly to knockoff the undefeated Atlanta Falcons 31-21. Brees completed 30 of 39 passes for 312 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Andy Dalton is rolling. Add another W for the undefeated Bengals and three more touchdown passes, giving him 14 on the season to just two interceptions. The Red Rifle currently holds a 116.1 QB rating.
The Jags aren’t winning, but that hasn’t stopped Blake Bortles from showing tremendous growth in his play. He already has more touchdown passes through six games this season (13), than he did his entire rookie season (11).
Landry Jones started the season as the third string QB, but on Sunday he played the hero, filing in for an injured Michael Vick, completing 8 of 12 passes for 168 yards and two scores against Arizona.
Cam Newton got some sweet revenge on Seattle, leading the Panthers to a last minute win over the Seahawks.
Philip Rivers fired for 503 yards and two scores, however San Diego still lost to Green Bay.
Tom Brady quietly picked apart the Colts in Revenge-gate and despite three interceptions, Peyton Manning did just enough to keep the Broncos undefeated.
It was a great Week for football, and the storylines just keep getting better.
