Recent Clemson football signee Mike Bellamy did not make the smartest choice when he decided to participate in a photo of him holding a good amount of cash. Even if this is not true, which is highly likely, it raises eyebrows and leads to questions.
Just as quick as the photo below popped up on Bellamy’s facebook page and it quickly came down. Odds are that Clemson had something to do with that and here is the message that replaced the photo –
Shout Out to all my friends and family! The picture that I posted earlier this morning of me holding stacks of cash, was just a case of a kid who never saw that much cash and being excited. That cash belonged to my Aunte’ who allowed me to take a stupid picture. To my family at CHS, in Nocatee, Orlando, and especially my new family at Clemson University, I am sorry for making this mistake. From now on I will let my play on the field, my hard work in the classroom, weight room, and locker room do all my talking! We straight…Speedy.
According to a report by Travis Sawchik , Bellamy said the photo was a joke as the above indicates. A joke that is not funny in this environment with the NCAA especially when this four star running back chose Clemson over Alabama, Auburn and a host of others.
For Clemson they have to cringe due to this and the Joe Craig issue. Not to mention this is the second recent episode of a Clemson recruit flashing cash, remember Kenneth Page?
Here is the pic in question –
Now you would not expect Gamecock Nation to stand down with a ripe chance to make things difficult for the rival, would you? Come on cash and a top recruit, screams – “let’s email the NCAA.” And that is what one eager Gamecock named “scfan04” did as this was posted on Cockytalk before it was removed found by FitsNews….

Seems like Clemson is not having a good week from a perception issue alone. Love to know what ol’ Dabo things of “Bling Bling” Bellamy…..
