This is actually what I came here to write, but it felt wrong shoe-horning it into that previous post. Hooray for more posts in the last two hours than in the whole month previous~! Talk about damning with faint praise….
Anyhoo, it gives me great pleasure to announce the addition of a second primary contributor to The Net Set. Bill Harvey (@vbdepot on twitter — once he unlocks it!) has joined the ranks. I’ll let Bill introduce himself in greater depth, particularly as he and I are still kind of getting to know each other too. But frankly — he’s probably more qualified to do this than I am. Bill’s got an extensive history with the game, as everything from a club-dad to a college ref. I look forward to his approachable and informative writing complementing (hopefully not replacing….) my own.
I don’t intend for us to have separate, discrete areas of coverage. We will not have particular ‘beats.’ If this results in the two of us writing up the same match or news item at the same time, I actually think that will be kind of awesome. The more perspectives the merrier. But I’m confident that Bill will be able to provide some insights and content that I, either literally or less-than-literally, can’t. And that’s why I’m so excited to have him on board.
So no biting the newcomer! Everyone help me in welcoming Bill Harvey as The Net Set’s second primary contributor.
