CASE of TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS FANS Vs. RAHEEM MORRIS
All Rise! We will now hear the case.
PROSECUTION:
Raheem Morris may not have been given a team of veterans, but he has preached from the beginning “Next Man Up” and no excuses, No Explanations, so dont give any. This team that is supposed to be behind you 100% has gone out and made a statement the last 4 weeks; “We dont care what happens to Raheem”, or as 620 Radio Host Bobby Fenton said “team stuck a huge middle finger up at all the Bucs fans”. Even if you get veterans and a full offseason program, what happens if the Bucs get two tough games to start 2012 and lose them both? How do we know you can stop the bleeding and prevent an 0-10 start?
Raheem Morris, your the defensive Coordinator, and you fired the previous DC Jim Bates when his defense couldnt stop anyone. Now, the Bucs are on the verge of giving up the most points of any Bucs team, past the 1986 Bucs. You’ve confessed to wining games via smoke n Mirrors last year, you tell us the players arn’t listening in, and obviously they are not.
Prosecution rests!
DEFENSE:
Yes, no team had an offseason or OTAs in 2011, but the problem is- 70% of Bucs players that are playing right now have NEVER had an offseason in Tampa Bay under Raheem Morris. Albert Hanesworth, Larry Assante, LeGarrette Blount, Adrian Clayborn, Da’Quan Bowers, Desmon Briscoe, Luke Stocker, and many many more have NEVER EVER EVER been to an offseason OTA where all the learning is done! And thats 3 out of every 4 players!
Raheem Morris wasnt the one who kicked out two big time leaders on this team, one for each side of the ball; Cadillac Williams and Barrette Ruud. Morris wanted Both, but the Bucs front office and management/ownership fell for the Kool-Aid induced 10-6 record. If Barber doesnt intercept a Delhomme pass vs Cleveland, or one play vs Cincinnati, Arizona and St. Louis, the Bucs are 6-10 instead of 10-6. The Bucs have 20 players on the roster, thats almost half, that have NEVER BEEN DRAFTED! Its no wonder the Bucs are getting blown out. Pewter Report did a survey of some NFL General Managers that wanted to remain annonymous, and said the Bucs have only two players that would start on their team. TWO!! How many players off of the Bengals would start here?
Morris deserves a chance to see what he can do with more talent.
Now for the Jury to select..

Is Raheem Morris Guilty or Innocent? Stay or Go?
Ronde Barber will eclipse Derrick Brooks as the Buccaneer with the most amount of games played in a Bucs uniform. If Ronde Goes, he will be taking many things with him, but the most important, Ronde is the last Buc from the last and only truely great Buccaneer history; The Tony Dungy/Jon Gruden SuperBowl Bucs team, any maybe no play in any Bucs fans mind is more cherished than Barber’s interception return against the Philadelphia Eagles in Jan of 2003 to send Tampa Bay to the Super Bowl.
SUPER BOWL!
Long time Bucs fans like myself know what that means, for so long the words Bucs and Super Bowl did NOT belong in the same sentance together. But that team did the impossible, and Barber was there and helped it come true. Unfortunately his last year as a Buc tends to tie in to the lesser part of the Bucs lore. Only 25 points separates the 2011 Bucs from the worst scoring defense in Bucs history, the 1986 Tampa Bay team under head Coach Leeman Bennett.
A lot of what Barber does will depend on what the Bucs do- that is with head coach Raheem Morris. It’s no secret Barber has close ties with Morris and DBs coach Jimmy Lake. If the Bucs fire Morris and the coaching staff, and Pewter Report is saying their sources indicate that will happen sometime in January, Barber may want to see what type of new coach the Bucs go after. Healthwise, Barber is said to be able to play another 5 years if he wants to, he could easilly make the transition to safety which would greatly extend his playing career. Its a sure thing Barber will not suit up for another organization; he either plays for Tampa Bay or he doesnt play at all. Thank God we never had to see Derrick Brooks or Ronde Barber or Mike Alstott in a Philadelphia or Green Bay uniform!
