OK, so I have not been around much. Both Rob and LDizzle have done a good job holding down the fort in my absence. My work over on Examiner.com has been taking up a lot of my time, and has helped me earn my way inside to cover the NFL Draft and the Oakland Raiders’ recently concluded minicamp.
Here is a collection of my thoughts from having been inside the Raiders headquarters watching practices.
The Raiders PR staff was quite helpful, despite their reputation.
- Jeff Garcia led the quarterbacks in botched center exchanges, despite Bruce Gradkowski getting an early lead.
- Other than throwing for some receiver drills, Andrew Walter didn’t get a single rep.
- Lorenzo Neal will be a great addition.
- Terdell Sands looked to be in much better shape, however, he is still a big dude.
- Robert Gallery will be hosting a car cruise to raise money for the families of the fallen Oakland police officers. That is classy.

- There will be more tomorrow, but I can’t keep my eyes open at this point. It was a long weekend.
