What a way to start the football season, with some interesting news that could have changed the Los Angeles Rams direction for the 2016 season. When QB Brock Osweiler left the Denver Broncos, the team needed a new leader on the offense.
According to Ian Rapoport, The Broncos called the Los Angeles Rams for some help. The Broncos and Rams were in serious talks about QB Case Keenum for a possible trade.
Rams would’ve needed huge pick or player compensation to deal Keenum to DEN. Elway never offered Aqib Talib, Roby, or enough for the Rams. Keenum is Los Angeles offense right now along side Todd Gurley, hence they wanted maybe more than the Broncos could offer.
If Jared Goff would have performed better in the preseason, don’t be surprised if the Rams actually made this trade come true.
This preseason, #Broncos kept tabs on #Rams QB Case Keenum & the teams had trade talks. Denver’s confidence in Siemian helped scuttle talks.

#Broncos end up with Trevor Siemian, who they have a ton of confidence in. The #Rams keep Case Keenum, who holds it down until Goff is ready

It’s time for Case Keenum to lead the Rams offense this season.
