Jokes of the Academy Awards’ best motion picture presentation faux pas reached the realm of NFL mascots on Sunday night.
Rampage, the Los Angeles Rams mascot, took his own, good-humored poke at the Oscars, in which Best Movie presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly announced “La La Land” as the winner, rather than “Moonlight,” which made the 2017 Academy Awards the most talked about topic the rest of the night and the next day.
RamblinFan.com reposted a Rampage tweet:

But before Rampage starts joining the standup comedians circuit, RamblinFan.com noted that “La La Land” won more Oscars on Sunday (six) than the Rams did football games (four) in 2016.
And Rampage drew his own Twitter criticism:
@RampageNFL but you still wear StL colors in LA LA Land #aintright

Rampage also may inadvertently put some extra pressure on new head coach Sean McVay and his staff to turn around a franchise that has not produced a winning season since 2003. If the Rams fail to improve significantly in 2017, will the Academy Awards official Twitter—or “Oscar,” if he has a Twitter account himself—deliver some payback?
The Rampage Rams Mascot Twitter account features mostly offseason news about Rams events or Rams cheerleader events. But earlier Sunday, Rampage did have some fun tweeting while watching the Daytona 500.
Sunday’s without the @NFL has me like…

And he did add that he was looking forward to the Academy Awards before it aired. So let that be a warning next year to the Oscars.
Another blunder could invite more sarcasm from Rampage. Because that’s what’s been most embarrassing to the academy since the mistake aired.
