Los Angeles Rams Franchise Tag Cornerback Trumaine Johnson had some very unique words when describing Tampa Bay QB Jameis Winston a couple of days ago.
Johnson told the L.A Times this week that Jameis won’t let up no matter who is squared up against him.
“He’s going to definitely give you opportunities,” Johnson said, adding, “He doesn’t care who’s covering who —he’s going to throw the ball up.
“And I like that.”
Since the start of the 2015 season, Winston has thrown the most INT for any quarterback. Maybe Johnson has a point. The cornerback had seven interceptions last year with one of them being from Winston on Thursday Night Football.
With Tampa’s running game shut down due to their running back Doug Martin sidelined with an injury, Winston will have to be able to throw often to beat Los Angeles.
This game will come down to whether or not Johnson will be able to cover WR Mike Evans. Who wins? Comment Below..
