Rangers 2, Coyotes 1, SO

33

The New York Rangers (27-9-4) defeated the Phoenix Coyotes (20-17-6) by the score of 2-1 in a shootout, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…the Rangers can officially win every possible way. Didn’t matter how hot Smith was tonight, you cannot deny this team right now.

…if the Rangers lost in the shootout I was fully expecting both EC and Wolski back in the line-up Thursday night.

…how many times have I said Gaborik needs to ditch the deke and just shoot on shoutouts/penalty shots/breakways? Tonight was the perfect example.

…i haven’t been a big fan of the Hagelin-Boyle-Fedotenko combination, but they where by far the Rangers best line tonight.

…awesome to see Staal becoming more comfortable by the minute.

…thought for sure Dubi was done for awhile when he didn’t come out for second period. Loved seeing him stick up for Cally.

…zero shots on goal for AA.

…thankfully the Rangers only had one power play opportunity tonight. Disaster.

…oh yeah, Hank was sort of good again.

…looks like Torts’ defensive film session yesterday worked as Rangers completely shutdown Coyotes offense.

…75% on faceoffs for Stepan?!?!?!? That’s got to be some sort of record for him.

…i apparently missed the two minute standing ovation for Rozsival when they announced his name in the starting line-up.

…off until Thursday when Senators are in town.
