Rangers 2, Devils 0

1

The New York Rangers (40-15-6) defeated the New Jersey Devils (35-23-4) by the score of 2-0, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…for a game that had just two goals and only 27 total shots (maybe the Rangers do need Nash), I was completely entertained. Yeah, it wasn’t pretty, but the hatred of the two teams shined through and that’s all you can ask from a rivalry game.

…MVP! MVP! MVP! He didn’t have much work tonight, but that glove save on Kovalchuk late was a thing of beauty. Remember when that was the weakness in his game?

…Hagelin really clicking with Cally and Richards.

…can’t imagine why Columbus wanted McDonagh in the Nash trade so badly.

…effin bitch Boulton skating to the bench when Rupp came on the ice to challenge him for messing with Gaborik. Must be learning from teammate Clarkson. Gutless.

…how much fun would Avery have been in this one?

…Dubinsky, you can relax now. The Rangers can’t trade you anymore.

…not upgrading the power play at the deadline might come back to burn this team.

…i tell you what, I’m really starting to get comfortable with Bickel on the blueline.

…even when Prust doesn’t want to fight, he ends up doing it.

…off till Thursday when they’re at Carolina.
