Rangers 2, Red Wings 1, OT

The New York Rangers (46-20-7) defeated the Detroit Red Wings (44-25-5) by the score of 2-1 in overtime, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…i know that was a depleted Red Wings team, but anytime you can take two points from the premiere team in the NHL you’ve got to feel good about yourself.

…listen, I’ll never complain about a win, but minus the Callahan winner that was one boring game.

…Happy Birthday Ryan Callahan!!!!

…not sure if it’s his new linemates, being more comfortable in New York or what, but Richards is finally looking like the player the Rangers gave a nine-year contract to.

…sweet move by Dubinsky on the Callahan winner. Looks like he might finally be finding his game.

…after giving up another softy, I think Lundqvist finally said enough is enough and was vintage Hank for the rest of the game.

…shocked to see Rangers had 34 shots on goal. Didn’t think they had nearly enough pressure on Conklin. What else is new against a mediocre goaltender?

…love all the tangibles that Boyle brings, but he’s got to start finishing.

…i was hoping for a 4-2-1 homestand, so 4-2-0 after six has me feeling good.

…first game since the recall that I thought Erixon looked a little lost out there.

…two straight games with a power play goal. That’s got to be a record for this team.

…what? No line brawl?

…off tomorrow then Buffalo in town to end seven game homestand.
