The New York Rangers (42-15-7) defeated the Boston Bruins (38-23-3) by the score of 4-3, today. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…got to be impressed with the resiliency of this team. They lose their captain and arguably the best overall player on the team the last three games and are still able to come away with five points. Also didn’t panic when the Bruins tied it late.

…nothing better than the Rangers showing they won’t be pushed around by being physical with the Bruins top players as it seemed they were targeting Chara and Lucic.

…Fedotenko gets a lot of criticism from fans (myself included), but he is a player who’s been there and knows how to get it done in the big game. He will be invaluable come playoff time.

…guess Stepan didn’t like being put on the third line.

…i love Prust, but when Rupp, Scott and Bickle are his teammates there is no need for him to fight Lucic.

…any chance Lundqvist is getting too much rest? He usually gobbles those first two goals right up.

…i normally don’t like Torts messing with the lines in-game, but it really seemed to spark the offense.

…also great job by Torts and his staff designing plays to take advantage of Hagelin’s speed.

…puck just finding the back of the net for Gaborik lately.

…Del Zotto assist on Stepan goal is exhibit “A” as to why he was missed in Tampa. Unreal puck moving skills.

…a +3 with three blocked shots in a team leading 24:28 of ice time for Staal. Can we officially say he’s back?

…since when is a puck shot in the bench a delay of game penalty? Thought it had to go in the crowd?

…awful turnovers by Stralman and Girardi got Bruins back in the game. I think Torts might have a conversation with the two of them after this one.

…off tomorrow then Rangers visit New Jersey on Tuesday.
