Rangers 5, Flyers 2 (Updated with Post Game Video)

The New York Rangers (35-13-5) defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (31-17-7) by the score of 5-2, today. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…the Rangers dominance over the Flyers is truly amazing, but to me it comes down to one thing, goaltending. The Rangers have it, while the Flyers don’t.

…absolutely baffles me that Laviolette continues to play the two knuckle heads Tom “Fantasy Camp” Sestito and Rinaldo. The Rangers have proven game after game that they won’t fall for their antics. You’d think he’d want to put actual NHL talent in the line-up when facing the best team in the Eastern Conference.

…what else can you say about Callahan, the guy is one of the most complete players in the league, period.

…i guess the Rangers found the answer to their power play woes, and his name is Brad Richards. Makes you wonder why Torts took him off the point in the first place. He’s real calm back there and it seems to have given him confidence in the rest of his game.

…between Gaborik and Lundqvist the Rangers have two legit Hart Trophy candidates.

…great to see AA going again.

…i know he only played four minutes but Bickel wasn’t as horrible as I anticipated at forward. Great job again taking care of Sestito.

…we’ve seen Girardi mentioned in the conversation for Norris, but it might be time to include McD as well.

…man the Rangers pk is awesome. Helps when you have Hank back there.

…right back at it tomorrow afternoon against Caps at MSG.
