Pierre LeBrun at ESPN.com reports that the Rangers have called the Toronto Maple Leafs about a potential trade.
LeBrun adds that blueliner Cody Franson is available in Toronto.
…i know Slats has to do his due diligence but the Rangers are just coming off their best performance of the season & now the team’s spark plug is back. Is a trade really necessary right now?
…and while the Rangers are obviously lacking on the blueline with Staal sidelined is bringing in another 6th defenseman (don’t the Rangers also have a contract offer out to Anton Stralman?) really going to help this team?
