Rangers Enjoying Home Stand

album

Dave Lozo at NHL.com reports that the Rangers players are excited about their unusual seven game homestand.

Brad Richards…

“To be honest, we don’t usually like playing that many in a row at home because sometimes it’ll get monotonous. But I think the way the schedule worked out with the amount of travel at the start of the year and the three games we lost, it’s good to get home and get some rest and be in our own beds.”

…with the way Richards has been playing I don’t think he’s been the only one in his bed lately.

Marty Biron…

“It’s nice to have that homestand. It’s a very unique one. Seven games, every other day all the way down. The good thing is you don’t have to travel. The schedule allows us to get a day off here and there, too. We can morning skate and not have to be on the road. Yeah, it’s a good time for us to try to stay on top of our division, the conference. To be able to do it at home is an added bonus.”

…before the homestand started I said 4-2-1 would be great, so to begin 2-0 has me excited for a very successful run at MSG.
