Pat Leonard at the Daily News has John Tortorella’s thoughts on the recently recalled Tim Erixon…
“He looks a little stronger out of his uniform. He makes a great pass to Step, just a really patient play. That’s what we’re hoping to get out of him, is someone to get us out of our end zone, can add something to our second power play. There’s some work to be done as far as him continuing to understand our concept, but we’re gonna give him a look. I just think some of the tutelage down there and the grind of the American Hockey League has helped him, and hopefully he can step in and give us some minutes.”
Erixon was held pointless with a -1, one blocked shot and three hits in 9:57 of ice time Saturday night.
…i’m still not 100% sold on Erixon. He has yet to wow me. Having said that, he offers a lot more than Eminger or Woywitka. Not sure I trust him more than Stralman though.
