Update, 1:26 p.m.:
Great job my the guys over at Blue Seat Blogs putting together a list of players that have to clear waivers before being sent to the AHL including the recently cut Valentenko. Others include Weise, Mitchell and Newbury.
…having to clear through waivers is a nice little feather to have in your cap come cut time.
Original Post:

The Rangers now have 35 players remaining in training camp…
PLAYERS STILL IN NEW YORK RANGERS TRAINING CAMP:
Goal (3): Martin Biron, Henrik Lundqvist, Scott Stajcer
Defense (11): Brendan Bell, Stu Bickel, Michael Del Zotto, Steve Eminger, Tim Erixon, Dan Girardi, Ryan McDonagh, Dylan McIlrath, Blake Parlett, Michael Sauer, Marc Staal
Forward (21): Artem Anisimov, Sean Avery, Ryan Bourque, Brian Boyle, Ryan Callahan, Erik Christensen, Andre Deveaux, Brandon Dubinsky, Ruslan Fedotenko, Marian Gaborik, Carl Hagelin, John Mitchell, Kris Newbury, Brandon Prust, Brad Richards, Mike Rupp, Derek Stepan, Andreas Thuresson, Dale Weise, Wojtek Wolski, Mats Zuccarello
…by far the biggest surprise for me is Miller. Thought he had an outstanding camp. But you got to figure Rangers knew he wasn’t going to make the team, so might as well sent him back to juniors so he can get as much game experience as possible.
…on the other side of things, I’m very excited to see McIlrath sticking around. Assuming the Staal injury had a lot to do with him not getting cut along with Bickel and Parlett. But who cares. Will be nice to see him get some more NHL experience of the next few weeks.
