Raptors hoping to claw past the ‘Cats tonight in Charlotte

The Toronto Raptors are in the ‘Land of the G.O.A.T.’ tonight to face the 4-9 Charlotte Hornets. Despite the ‘Cats underwhelming record so far this season their on-court personnel are no slouches. They recently acquired Stephen Jackson in a trade with the Golden State Warriors,  they also have Gerald Wallace,  Boris Diaw (who has one of the most well rounded games of any player in the league, in my opinion), Flip Murray, Raymond Felton, Tyson Chandler (who will be in tonight’s lineup vs. the Raptors after missing the last 2 games with back spasms), D.J. Augustin, and rookie, former Duke standout, Gerald Henderson.

Last season the Raptors and Bobcats split the season series 2-2, but this season each team have brand new faces.

If the Raptors can secure this road win tonight they’ll be back to .500 on the season with an 8-8 record. Toronto hasn’t faired so well against their opposition in the 2nd game of ‘back-to-back’s this season, losing both of them in convincing fashion. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going from last night’s home win over the Indiana Pacers. In case you missed it, here’s the Raptors.com ‘Game in Six’ highlight pack:

I’m planning to post a piece on Jarrett Jack who’s been playing quite well these past 3 games. Look for that sometime after tonight’s game against the Bobcats…man, I hope I didn’t just jinx him!
