The Toronto Raptors got out to a 33-20 first quarter lead on the Orlando Magic, and didn't look back, cruising to a 98-83 victory at home in the Air Canada Centre. DeMar DeRozan missed his second straight game, recovering from a sprained left ankle, and Patrick Patterson missed this game as hedeals with issues stemming from a broken nose suffered on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Kyle Lowry, once again, put up NBA All-Star worthy numbers: 33 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds. Kyle had 20 points at halftime, making sure his presence in the game was felt and noted early on.

On the night when Jonas Valanciunas was named as a participant in this year's NBA '2014 BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge' during NBA All-Star weekend next month in New Orleans, he didn't disappoint! Jonas valanciunas had another double-double, with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Amir Johnson returned to his earlier season form with a big game, scoring 22 points, while grabbing 11 rebounds, and recording 2 steals. Terrence Ross continues to provide solid production, scoring 12 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, along with 2 blocks.

With only 83 points scored in the game, the Orlando Magic were quiet statistically speaking, with Nikola Vucevic leading the team, notching a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards. Tobias Harris almost recorded a double-double for the Magic as well, posting 9 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Orlando Magic rookie, Victor Oladipo, who will join Jonas Valanciunas as a participant in the NBA '2014 BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge', had a tough shooting night making only 3 of his 14 shots from the field. He finished the game with 12 points (including going 5-8 from the free throw line).

We will find out on Thursday night if Kyle Lowry and/or DeMar DeRozan will be named NBA Eastern Conference All-Stars. I believe both payers deserve the honour, but we will have to wait and see if they're both selected to the team.
