Raptors set franchise record 10 game win streak; get past Knicks 103-93

ridley non-fumble

Ten was definitely the number of the night, winning a franchise record setting ten straight games, in a game where they won by a margin of ten points (103-93) and Jonas Valanciunas earned his tenth double-double of the season, on a night where DeMar DeRozan, uniform #10, was named as an NBA All-Star for the second time in his career.

Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis, and former Toronto Raptors guard, Jose Calderon all were unavailable and did not suit up for the New York Knicks as they each of them are recovering from various injuries.

Kyle Lowry was questionable to play with a sore left wrist, but he came out and was every bit if the All-Star player that the Toronto Raptors have come to rely upon. Lowry scored 26 points, and also dished out 10 assists.

The newly named NBA All-Star, DeMar DeRozan, matched Lowry’s offensive output, scoring 26 points of his own. Jonas Valanciunas didn’t have a strong night shooting from the floor (only 4-16 from the field), but he collected a game high 18 rebounds to go along with 11 points, earning his tenth double-double of the season to help the Raptors get past the visiting New York Knickerbockers by a final score of 103-93.

The Raptors have one remaining game on their home schedule, Saturday night vs. the Detroit Pistons, before they embark on a 6 game road trip, broken up by NBA All-Star Weekend back in Toronto.
