Angels fans just got their wish. Raul Ibanez has been released:

It looked as if the Halos were on the verge of choosing to send C.J. Cron down to the minors, but instead, Ibanez will be released and Cron figures to take over as the primary DH. Grant Green and Collin Cowgill will probably factor in some as well. Either way, it will be an improvement over the 50 OPS+ Ibanez had been providing.
This might very well be the end of Raul Ibanez’s career.
