Ray Ball to Badger football 2013

Hey, look at that… We're going to be talking about an actual active Wisconsin Badger today. Perfect for a Friday in june, right? Well, we're now just 71 days away from the start of the Andersen era at the UW,  or as we like to say… We're just Ray Ball to Badger football!! 

So, let us introduce you to an offensive lineman who's role in 2013 could be massive to creating quality depth. 

Ball's Story So Far:

– Will be a redshirt sophomore this season after being named Academic All-Big Ten last year
– Appeared in limited role in nine games in 2012
– He is majoring in Human ecology

History of No. 71 at Wisconsin:

Dave Suminski (OT, 1950-52): Suminski was a picture of versatility for the Badgers, playing both offensive and defensive tackle. He was named an All-American in 1952. That 1952 team won a Big Ten Championship. Suminski went on to be drafted by the Washington Redskins, but played more in the CFL (becoming an all-pro) for the Hamilton Tiger Cats.
