Former amateur standout Ray Ximenez Jr. is currently 1-0 in his infant professional boxing career but he’s not taking any baby steps in his second professional fight. Originally rumored to have a bout on the upcoming Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito mega-fight taking place November 13 at Cowboys Stadium, Ximenez will now be fighting the following Saturday at the WinStar Casino in Oklahoma. The card will be promoted by Top Rank.
Ximenez will have no easy task on that night as he will stand across the ring from Fort Worth’s Rafael Casias. Fight fans here in North Texas are well aware of the ring exploits of Casias. Armed with the heart of a warrior, Casias has engaged in some of the most memorable battles to ever take place in the DFW.
A Casias-Ximenez bout is one that contains enough fireworks to light up the sky. Expect a slugfest.
